Feature: Dilly Designs

Notes from the Artist:
I chose to make and feature this greeting to remind myself and others that even though the world is often turbulent there is still a great deal of beauty in others and a myriad of loveliness in the universe that surrounds us.

Feature: Unique Grabs

Notes from the Artist:
Observing cute and pretty things is where I get my inspirations for my card designs. I love to experiment with any materials that I can find to make my cards look sweet, colorful and pretty. The next goal for me is to design more cards for the guys. Watch out for my next collection!

Feature: Modern Invite

Notes from the Artist:
This particular design is my bestselling personalized notecard on etsy. The irony is that someone wanted a custom designed wedding invitation with cherry blossoms in brown and pink. I designed the cherry blossoms for the wedding invitation client, but the prospect didn't respond to my e-mail. After designing several other items I realized it would be perfect on personalized notecards and others must agree! I love to design wedding invitations, notecards, birth announcements among other items! Etsy has brought me so much joy and I am truly thankful for the opportunity to share what my passion with others!

Feature: Ambient Design

Notes from the Artist:
I would have to say that this card, as well as my work in general, is influenced by nature and Victorian styles. I love all things vintage, and look for old engravings that I can screenprint along with text from favorite writers, such as the Emily Dickinson poem used here.

Feature: t-berry Paper Designs

Notes from the Artist:
There is something so delicious about working with paper. The inspiration for this card came from my obsession with sakura flowers and cherry blossoms...mix in a little turquoise & brown, and voila! In general my inspiration comes from things around me. Most often I will see some sort of paper and right away I know what I'm going to do with it.

Feature: Yellow Crafty Chick

Notes from the Artist:
I have always loved color, texture and handmade paper. What better way to combine them than in a simple collage on a notecard? Basically, I use these tiny collages to show off beautiful scraps of paper that I've found over time. Some of them are bright, some subdued, some are lumpy and bumpy and others are flat and smooth, but they all focus on the wonderful colors and textures found in these beautiful papers.

Notes from the Artist:
I love incorporating colors and pattern in my work and am strongly influenced by Scandinavian and Japanese design and culture.

Feature: Sarah Ridgley

Notes from the Artist:
I've been doing letterpress printing for about three years now, and I just love it. I use a Chandler & Price Newstyle press that my dad and husband moved for me one snowy December night. They deserve some credit, the thing weighed 1300 pounds! When I create my cards I use a mix of vintage and new printing blocks. One of my biggest thrills is going through flea markets looking for old type to rescue.

I love every part of the printing process- designing the project, putting the pieces together, mixing lovely ink colors, and then printing 'till my arm hurts! The "Note From an Outlaw" cards featured today are my favorites, and I receive rave reviews from everyone who purchases them. So go get yourself a set!

Feature: Mama Robot

Notes from the Artist:
By day I'm a designer for animated television shows, but I've been making and selling greeting cards since I was a kid. This one was originally a Mother's Day card for my mom. She loved it and encouraged me to make more, and it's now my best selling design. (And the inspiration for the name of my store!) For more about me, visit www.MamaRobot.com.

Feature: Dizzee Lizzee

Notes from the Artist:
I’ve always worked with fiber, so this paper thing is new to me. I’m enjoying learning how to manipulate and create with this new medium.

I've always been creating things. I enjoy working with my hands and it's hard for me to keep them still. I'm not happy unless I'm creating. I really believe that everyone has a talent, a desire to show the world.

Feature: Joyful Heart Designs

Notes from the Artist:
It is my goal to create stationery items that will fill your heart with joy because they express your unique personality. That’s why everything in my shop can be customized and personalized.

For instance, if you like the design of this featured note card, but would like it to be in your daughter’s school colors of green and gold, and would like to have “Go Wildcats!” instead of a name printed on it, well, that is no problem.

Feature: Island Blossom

Notes from the Artist:
My husband and I just recently got married and this piece symbolizes our new life together. The embossed background represents the family and friends that have always stood by us and the two flowers represent how we have vowed to honor, love, cherish, and grow old with one another. The message on the ribbon is simple but oh so true, it is "True Love".

Feature: Mishutka Design

Notes from the Artist:
I've been a graphic designer for many years, and I love working with paper, fabrics and trims. I'm inspired by the delicate beauty of vintage prints, and by the rich textures of antique textiles and furnishings. I often mix new and vintage papers and ribbons in my work. I think of my design style as a tasteful combination of Victorian and contemporary elements.

I absolutely love design and designing. Everyday I see and get inspiration from life, and you never know what each new day will bring. Feature: Designs by Teriko

Notes from the Artist:
I like to incorporate vintage elements into my greeting card designs to create unique and unusual imagery. This particular card is a collage I made as part of a living toy series created from early 1900s photographs and images of antique toys. In addition to collage, I also make cards from my original paintings and photographs.

Feature: Jogi

Notes from the Artist:
I LOOOVE flowers and everything that sparkles and that have truely reflected on the cards I make! Tons of flowers, rhinestones and glitters are almost always found on my cards! My card style? One of my favorite customers has put it the best "Cards like yours are JUNKED UP just the way I like them!" LOL!!

Feature: BellaRose Creations

Notes from the Artist:
I created this card in response to an on-line "Color" Challenge...as in the absence of it...with one accent color. The middle panel is embossed and the raised part is inked black to make it "pop"! The tag is set out from the card to give it dimension...and the one splash of color a red flower...is powerful! And of course anything with Fun Fur is well Fun!

Feature: Knittergirl

Notes from the Artist:
Did it myself/happi commi press is an imaginative charming nod
to the 40's, 50's, & 60's with a funky flare, while remaining unique.

Feature: Bellis Studio

Notes from the Artist:
I adore letterpress. There's something about the rhythmic clanging of the old press, feeding it paper and then turning the crank to feel it make that impression. Nothing can compare to the tactile qualities and nostalgic feel. This is my latest, the 'Sunshiny' note card... ideal for a quick note to brightening someone's day. If giving a gift, there are coordinating bookmarks and gift tags! Stop by my shop and learn more about letterpress. But be warned, letterpress love is contagious!

Feature: The Stitching Barn

Notes from the Artist:
This Daisy greeting card is perfect for Spring. It has two daisies
that look just picked and ready to give with a gift, as a gift, or to
frame and hang on a wall. It would be perfect for Mother's Day, a
sister's Birthday, a special Thank You to a cherished friend, or even
get well to someone in need.

This card comes as a Pattern as well, so that you the crafter can make
these Daisies for yourself. It is a PDF pattern that can be easily
emailed to you. Happy Stitching!

Feature: A Punkin Card Company

Notes from the Artist:
This card is amazing because it is fun, bright, and bold! I love my
cards and I hope that each one speaks to the person who bought it, just like
it speaks to me. If we could just spread a little more love with a card,
I think this world would be a better place.

Feature: Findings and Film

Notes from the Artist:
I love working with colour and take much of my inspiration from the Australian bushland that I am lucky to live near. I take photographs of anything that grabs my interest when I go walking with my camera, from bright birds to interestingly twisted trees.

The photos on my most recent cards were taken a couple of weeks ago when I treated myself to afternoon tea up at Sherbrooke Forest in the Dandenongs, near Melbourne, Australia. The cards all have the names of the type of bird or tree written on the back.

Feature: Gwynne's Gifts

Notes from the Artists:
This purse card is the first in a new line we are working on. We wanted to take the card just a little step farther with embellishments that just make you want to touch it. We also have quite a few cards based on our original art and we are very happy with the success of or earring greeting cards and our fish fly greeting cards. We love the idea of making items that are a card and gift all in one. We are always trying new things and stretching the edges of what people thing a greeting card should be.

Feature: World of Whimsy

Note from the Artist:

All of the cards in my shop are unique and one-of-a-kind. I like to use a variety of whimsical patterned papers, ribbons, and 3 dimensional elements. I design my cards in hopes that the recipients have a brighter day from a little art in their mailbox.

Feature: Mimi & Friends

Notes from the Artist:

All of my greeting cards are based on my photography. This featured card is the clock and bell tower of the First Independent Presbyterian Church in Savannah, Georgia. Originally established in 1755, this shot is of the 3rd incarnation of the church which is located at Bull St. & Oglethorpe Avenue, facing Market Square.

All of the note cards in my collection are from the photography during this one trip to Savannah. I have a lot more in the can, so check back soon to see what other locations inspired me!
