Feature: Pepperina Press

Notes from the Artist:
I’ve loved the 1950s since I was a kid, when I decided I could want no greater
thrill than to spin around in a fabulously twirly skirt and come running when
The Fonz snapped his fingers. So my goals have changed a little – but I’m
still constantly inspired by mid-century fashion, design and advertising. I’m
taken with the way the catalog models of the ‘50s seemed sweet and edgy all at
once; I aim to capture that blend in my Bella Figura greetings. Every card is
my own original artwork, and as I build each design I focus on clean lines and
restrained use of color for maximum impact. See more in my shop…

Notes from the Artist:
This card features most of my favorite materials. Pretty patterned paper, flowers and some bling. I create cards that I hope will make the recipient feel special.

Feature: Fabulous Finds

Notes from the Artist:
I couldn't pass up this set of Paris rubber stamps when I was shopping at a local boutique (and I couldn't wait to get home and create something with them)!. Hand-stamped with black ink onto beautiful aqua cardstock and embellished with black/white plaid ribbon and a rhinestone. I've been creating all kinds of art and crafts since I was a child and I enjoy the feeling of accomplishment that I have when I create and sell my paper goods. My first love is scrapbooking but for some time now I have been obsessed with cardmaking!

Feature: Pure Lily

Notes from the Artist:
My selection of of Hello Beautiful expresses the true emotion of how I believe in my designs and the way I like to express to others. I love to use exotic colors when creating my cards, it displays it's true beauty beyond words.

Feature: Creations by Char

Notes from the Artist:
I get most of my ideas from the materials I use. I love to pull out my papers and see where the textures and colors will lead me. The vellum overlay on this particular card is very versatile. It can be left as shown in the photo, or printed with any phrase/verse the customer would like.

Feature: Ignafruit

Notes from the Artist:
When I sit down to design, I always consider the entire package. I'm
obsessed with details! The process is more than just determining what
goes on the face of a note card — the right envelope is just as
important. I love experimenting with multiple layers of pattern and
texture. I love adding depth with little extra touches like custom
designed envelopes with cutouts so that the card design peeks through
to the outside or tucking a coordinating flat panel card inside a
foldover card and wrapping it all up in a belly band. I am a former
graphic designer turned art director turned mom turned freelance
designer turned stationery designer with a BFA in Graphic Design. Visit

Feature: Crimson Cat

Notes from the Artist:
I've tried all sorts of crafts throughout my life; almost ten years ago, I was introduced to both rubber stamping and scrapbooking, and I was immediately hooked. I love the patterns, textures, and colors of the paper! I’m a supply collector, too: markers, colored pencils, chalk, ink, paint, glue, punches, scissors, buttons, beads… they're full of such possibilities! I use rubber stamping, unusual papers, and non-traditional card materials, such as sewing and fabrics, to give my projects that "little something" extra.

Notes from the Artist:
These birds are from my latest watercolor "A Day at the Bird Spa." You may recognize a couple familiar feathered friends - the cardinal and the little bird buddy from another of my paintings. The yellow bird is a recent addition. He was inspired by the use of the primary colors - red, blue and yellow. I think he makes a great addition!

Feature: Fanshefolds

Notes from the Artist:
I especially like this card because of the matching colors of the origami paper & cardstock. They compliment each other very well. I wish the pictures can capture more of the details of my cards, the origami folds, the textures, the thickness, etc. because they are quite exquisite. I love origami, folding is so relaxing & therapeutic for me :)

Feature: Island Crafts

Notes from the Artist:
Here's a set of 6 cute little purse stamped gift tags. In the center of each purse as well on the handles, is a little bit of sparkly bling. Each tag measures two inches square. The inside is left blank for your own personal message. I think these tags would be great to attach to gifts for your bag/purse loving pal, and would also be great to attach to goody bags for a little girl's birthday party.

Feature: Little Teapot

Notes from the Artist:
I'm a compulsive doodler, and I mine my piles of doodles for ideas. After scanning (and sometimes digitally coloring) my art, I print the images with archival inks on creamy heavyweight archival stock; the images almost look silkscreened, with great clarity of detail. They'd look great framed!

Feature: Paper Blossoms

Notes from the Artist:
Paper has always been my forte, but I've recently been incorporating some of my other inspirations into my cards. I'm very drawn to Japanese designs, and I also enjoy playing with color in various ways, and my recent "kimono" cards are a result of that.

Feature: My Kids Art

Notes from the Artist:
I love to do art! It is my favorite subject in school. I am so happy to be making art for other people when I am only 9. My sunflower card set is my favorite because it uses bright colors. I love doing the My Kids Art shop on etsy. I even designed the banner! I hope I get lots of sales and I will continue doing My Kids Art for a long time.

Feature: Kelly Designs 4U

Notes from the Artist:
I have always loved the feel of paper between my fingers. My love of scrapbooking has found me published in a handful of mags, but only recently have I branched out into the world of selling. I love to create and make people laugh, so I designed these Retro Sarcasm Correspondence Cards with digital software on heavy, double sided cardstock. My hope was not to offend, but make them giggle, better yet make the receiver smile. Thanks for looking.

Feature: Two Hand Design

Notes from the Artist:
I use a combination of hand drawn artwork and vintage clip art in my work. I love layering colors and patterns to create an image with alot of depth. I also use a tabletop letterpress, and I love the feel of letterpress, but using the computer I can be more experimental.

Feature: Space Oddities

Notes from the Artist:
This delicate wax paper card is my favorite style right now. I love the process. It's messy, unpredictable, and every card turns out so unique. From paper hearts to drink umbrellas - the variety of items you can seal inside is endless, and the wax paper makes everything look so muted and pretty.

Feature: White Rabbit 21

Notes from the Artist:
I love making clean, uncluttered cards with lots of white space. Besides handcutting most of my shapes, I like to use string, bits of wire and other embellishments to add a bit of texture to each card. I am inspired by the colors and pattern of vintage dishware.

Feature: Kimmich Art and Design

Notes from the Artist:
I have always enjoyed putting my artwork on greeting cards, so people could easily have an affordable piece of my art, but when I found myself designing a "quick" greeting card that I didn't have time to go out and buy one day, I found a thrilling new artistic outlet. And I haven't stopped creating cards since! I love that I can still use a piece of my artwork and implement it into the design somehow, or just create a new design from a drawing, still using my "art"work.

And I am forever grateful for my parents' encouragement to get a degree in graphic design, in addition to studying art, or I would have never learned how to use these *wonderful* Mac programs that are too cool for words.

Feature: Right as Rain Creations

Notes from the Artist:
This is perhaps my favorite photograph of all I've taken so far. I love the color, the detail, and the tulip! The best part is the card fits in a 5x7 frame, so you get a greeting card, and the recipient gets some art!

Feature: Brezomayo Designs

Notes from the Artist:
I have scrapbooked for about 2 years and wanted to find a way to share my work with others, so I began making greeting cards about 2 months ago! I LOVE papers, buttons, distressed items, vintage, and flowers. I am also trying to incorporate my love of fabric into my card making (coming soon to my shop!)
These two cards are fun and perfect for birthdays, I think! I hope you like them!!!

Wednesday, May 9, 2007

Feature: Armato Design

Notes from the Artist:
I enjoy the contrast of modern design with an antique printing process. Though many of my designs are inspired by vintage motifs, I try to apply modern color combinations and layouts to them. The real star of the show, however, is letterpress printing. Letterpress gives cards and stationery a handcrafted warmth that can be seen and felt.

Feature: disCARDS

Notes from the Artist:
Ever since I was a teenager, I’ve devoted huge pockets of time to making cut-and-paste zines and decorating mix tape covers with assorted ephemera; my cards are a natural extension of those creations. disCARDS is the synthesis of my passions for upcycling, retro imagery, and collage. I love the process as much as the result: Filling grocery sacks to the brim with thrift store treasures and combing the pages of discarded library books for the perfect image or phrase—it’s therapeutic to me.

Feature: In My Mind's Eye

Notes from the Artist:
I received an Ornamental Horticulture Degree in Floral Design and owned a flower shop in Queens, NY in the late 1980's. I also taught design techniques in a ceramic Studio in Santa Fe, NM.
I sell my designs in all types of media. People have purchased my art in the U.S., Canada and even Europe. In my spare time I work a full time job at the Humane Society of the Palm Beaches and proudly take care of approximately 100 cats and kittens up for adoption.

Feature: Sonita's Treasures

Notes from the Artist:
I love to take cards and notes people send me and 'upcycle' them to recreate a new card or tag or bookmark. I'm also addicted to using my hole punch on some foam to make 3-D anything! This card combines the two into a very unique card.

Notes from the Artist:
Thanks for featuring my Mini Notes! As each month passes I'll be adding more delicious items to my shop, so please visit often. I hope that my paper goods bring you (or a loved one) comfort and inspiration. Paper goods heart made <3

Feature: Autumn River Designs

Notes from the Artist:
I was born on Christmas day, which may help explain why I’ve always loved designing new Christmas cards every year for my family. From that I think springs my great love of designing greeting cards in general - like the newest card "Hanging Out The Wash" shown here - and why I can’t seem to stop adding to the card collection I have on Etsy and elsewhere. I’m the kind of artist who has to paint to be happy, and my cards let me share that with others.

Thursday, May 3, 2007

Feature: Swank Designs

Notes from the Artist:
I think the cards that I create are inspired by my love for color and simplicity. I also am inspired to create because of the joy I see my cards bring to others.

Wednesday, May 2, 2007

Feature: Serpent Mandalas

Notes from the Artist:
I love to make mandalas and this design is one of 24 that I have created and have available as cards on Etsy. This one is "Pisces' from the Zodiac. Other series of work include Chakra Mandalas and Landscape Mandalas. The influence for my work is based on a strong connection to the earth and to the natural elements. Dreams play a strong part as do symbols and mythology.

Feature: Marmalady

Notes from the Artist:
I enjoy making cards for all occasions. Although I currently only have my glass-painted cards in my shop I hope soon to list cards in various other techniques such as crochet, stamping, and any other crafting method that inspires me!
