The word pink always reminds me of two things - both inextricably linked to the time in which I grew up: the 80s; Generation X. I fell in love with the Psychedelic Furs back in my freshman year of college and especially their song, "Pretty in Pink," which dominated the airwaves of my small college town. And of course, there was the movie of the same name, starring Molly Ringwald. I think this 5" x 7" card is definitely pretty in pink, especially with the soft mocha brown background and deeper chocolate accents around the hearts. Left "empty on the inside" for your message of love.

At a craft show recently, someone bought this card because, she said, the had a friend who didn't have a great year. The woman didn't want to be sending a message of all-out joy to someone who's not feeling very joyful right now. This is a low-key card that says "wishing you happiness & peace" inside. It's a collage of plain and decorative papers and hand embellishment, with shimmery silver marker outside and metallic burgundy paint inside. My cards are individual little works of art, made one at a time. Their special quality goes a long way to saying what you can't say with words.

This homespun holiday card with a detachable Angel Ornament and matching gift box will make the perfect present this Christmas. There is a small pocket that the ornament is attached to. When you lift it off it will revel the year. The base of the ornament is made out of layers of recycled cardboard. Patterned paper that was machine stitched is attached to the front. What a cute little way to let someone know how much you love them! The glue bottle was stamped, colored in with Copic markers, and then cut out before being attached to the card with foam tape so that it pops out a little bit. The sentiment reads: "I am stuck on you" and it was hand-cranked using an Acme label maker (remember those?!). Finished card size is 3.5" x 5" and comes with a white envelope. The card is blank on the inside. Stamp used was made by Imaginessence.
