Feature: Tatsuko

Notes from the Artist:
A jizo* is thinking positive thoughts, leaving a trail of blooming happiness...
*In Japan, a jizo is most well-known as a guardian of children, and a protector of women and travellers; they may comfort anyone dealing with sadness or the loss of someone dear. My husband gave me a little jizo statue when I was having a tough time with the passing of my mom last year. That statue and the feeling of a load being lightened is the inspiration for this card.

I carve all my stamps and have a particular fondness for the colours, textures and inherent warmth of Japanese papers. Thanks for looking!
