Notes from the Artist:
I'm very inspired by the odd or unusual found object. I like juxtapositions of old and unusual things (like the vintage children's storybook pictures or Godzilla film stills) with the Japanese monsters and toys. I enjoy seeing the new monsters intrude into the old tales, as it were. Some of my other cards feature photos from our farm; I see the same oddity in our farm critters--for example, I can't get over the fact that chickens look like little feathered dinosaurs and llamas like some sort of strangely prehistoric muppets.
