This is a brief resource to answer some common questions from new members.

Q: I was added to the group, but am having trouble accessing it through the website and responding to messages. What should I do?
A: This is a problem when the email you used to sign up isn't associated with google. It's easy to fix, though, and doesn't require that you open a new google email account. Just go to http://www.google.com/accounts/NewAccount to link your existing email to google.
Q: Is it important that I read listserv messages?
A: In a word, YES! This is our only means of communicating with one another, so it's important that you stay connected to learn about developments with the street team. It's also how you find out about all the fun stuff we're doing :).
Q: Do I have to receive all emails from the listserv?
A: No, this is not a requirement. However, since the listserv is the only way we can communicate with everyone, we recommend editing your membership to 'Digest' format so that you at least receive a summary of what was discussed every day. You are also able to view the discussions via the web, so you might get in the habit of logging in once a day (http://groups.google.com/group/etsygreetings) to make sure you're on top of what's happening.
Q: Do we have a team tag? What is it and how do I use it?
A: Our team tag is EtsyGreetingsTeam (no spaces). Please feel free to use this tag in your Etsy shop listings, but only for those items that are greeting cards. Please do not use this tag on other paper items or non-paper items. When our team members are creating treasuries, they often do a 'search' for EtsyGreetingsTeam, so this is a great way to get your cards included in treasuries!
Q: I want to help with the blog. What do I do?
A: We strongly encourage involvement from our membership! Click on Pages at the google groups site (http://groups.google.com/group/etsygreetings) to view the calendar. Or, click the 'calendar' button in the right margin of our blog website. Our team hosts sign-ups around the first of the month for the following month (for example, around February 1 you can sign up for March dates). Ahna (Lucky Duck Designs) will send an email a couple days in advance so everyone knows when it's time to sign-up.
Q: I signed up for a blog feature, but can't remember my date and/or what information I need to send.
A: Click on Pages at the google groups site (http://groups.google.com/group/etsygreetings) to view the calendar and all the do's and don't's of a blog feature.
Q: What if I have an idea for a promotion or event or activity that will benefit the group?
A: Go for it! Anyone is welcome to take the lead on things here. The best way seems to be to post to the listserv to see if there is interest, generate ideas to improve the plan, and then implement. Ahna from Lucky Duck Designs is always happy to be a sounding board if you want to run it past someone first (not required, though!). There are many other members here who are generally able to do the same.
Q: How do I get my business blog listed on the EtsyGreetings blog (http://etsygreetings.blogspot.com)?
A: Just add your information to this google form: http://spreadsheets.google.com/viewform?key=0Aicb7OB9ASZkcFNqakJPMmpIN2d3WTR3QzR4NUZOWWc&hl=en We try to update the blog links at least once per month!
