1) How many cards (handmade or otherwise) do you typically give in a month? Three
2) Do you mail the cards you purchase, or deliver them in person? Mail
3) Are there any reasons that you might not purchase handmade cards? I make my own cards, so I usually don't purchase them.
1) I send about 5 cards a month, since I have a couple of penpals and then family members get cards for ceratin occasions.
2) I LOVE send mail and getting mail so I almost always mail them unless it's someone at work and then I just stick it in their mail cubby.
3) I like cards with a LOT of detail and sometimes handmade cards can be a little too simple for my taste. A couple of pieces of patterned paper glued to a cardstock card doesn't do it for me. I love ribbons and tags, and 3-D parts and all kinds of details!
Thanks for the chance to win!
i typically give about 1 card a month, i mail them.. i love to get mail, so others will get mail from me. i would buy homemade cards, i just don't think of it time to get them ...
~jen
I send at least 4 and up to 20 if it's a holiday month (lots of nieces and nephews)
I mail my cards as my family is across the country from me :(
I make a lot of my cards on the computer but I have found some beauties on etsy.

No. I make my own cards, and love to do it. In fact, I may be joining EtsyGreetings someday! However, there are so many interesting an wonderful visions and creative thoughts in the world. I would never have thought of some of them - like cardwear.etsy.com who uses fabric on her cards, or happydaystudio.etsy.com who does incredible rich watercolors. I appreciate these designs and purchase them to share with others. And, I am inspired by them as well - which brings new depth and insight into my own work.
Signed, feeling rather blessed. :)

What a gorgeous card!
1) I probably average about 5. Since many of the cards I send are for birthdays, it varies a lot between months.
2) I mail most of them but deliver a few in person.
3) I'm a student, so price is a factor at times (sometimes I substitute a note on plain paper, but never a commercial card). I also make my own cards when I have time.
I normally give 5-7 cards in any given month, sometimes more.
I always, always mail my cards. Nothing brings a smile quicker than a personal piece of mail in your mailbox.
In the past, I never thought of personal cards for everyday usage, but I will now!
I send three to five cards a month.
I do both! Send throughthe mail and hand deliver!
I make some of my own cards. Nothing like what is posted here!

2) Do you mail the cards you purchase, or deliver them in person? Mail
3) Are there any reasons that you might not purchase handmade cards? I always think I will create my own but then I run out of time!
On average I give about 1 or 2 cards a month, and mail them to family or friends. I try to buy as many handmade cards as I can...the reason why I wouldn't buy handmade cards would be that I made one myself. :)
Thanks for the entry to win!
This is my first visit to estygreetings. So far I love your site! Here are my answers:
1. Average 4-5 per month
2. Usually mail my cards
3. I have never had the opportunity to purchase handmade cards since I make all my own cards. If I saw a handmade card I loved I would definitely buy it.

The cards I make are delivered in person. I don't have many people to send them to.
3) Are there any reasons that you might not purchase handmade cards?
I have bought a few from my friend when I didn't have the time to make them myself. I love making cards.

1) Excluding the month of December where I send close to 70 handmade cards out, I typically send on average 5 cards per month. Almost all the cards I send are handmade. Exceptions are made for "Thank you" cards, since my sister keeps me well stocked with store-bought ones.
2) ALWAYS mail. If I see the recipient in person, s/he will recieve two cards.
3) I must admit that I don't tend to buy "scrapbook" or "collage" cards that often because some look "too" handmade. I like my cards to still look professional. So, I gravitate towards printed artwork cards, photo cards, and letterpress cards. Of course, I make exceptions when I come across a card I love, especially one with a retro design.

2) Do you mail the cards you purchase, or deliver them in person? MAIL
3) Are there any reasons that you might not purchase handmade cards?EXPENSIVE!!!
1) How many cards (handmade or otherwise) do you typically give in a month? I seldom give cards to folk because I have a tough time finding what I want and how to say it. (BAD ME!). So, I'd have to say perhaps 3-5 times a year :(
2) Do you mail the cards you purchase, or deliver them in person? When I do give cards, it is usually a combination of both, depending on how far away the person is located.
3) Are there any reasons that you might not purchase handmade cards? OK, call me ignorant, but up until a few months ago, I didn't even know that I could buy handmade cards until I got on etsy. (became a member late last summer) From what I've seen on etsy, I will probably always and forever buy cards handmade from now on! I don't make my own cards and generally don't like the ones in the stores. So, honey, I've found my place to shop for cards :)
Trish

2. I end up mailing both cards (either US or interoffice!), but some are hand-delivered to my close peeps.
3. A reason why I might not purchase a handmade card... well, there was this one time that I found some that I loved at a craft fair and the vendor took cash only. And I was out. So basically not having any money would be the only reason I wouldn't...
Hi, What a wonderful contest! I give on the average around 2 a month and always hand deliver them. I enjoy making the cards and I know the people I give them to love a hand made card. Thanks,Cindi

1. I send 4-5 handmade cards each month. Any excuse to send fun pretty snail mail to friends and family will work for me. Months with holidays are different...Christmas, Valentine's Day, etc. bumps the total to 20-25 each month. Whew.
2. Since my husband and I recently moved to a new area I almost always mail the cards. Slowly as I meet more friends I'll deliver them in person and/or leave them on doorsteps. Can't wait!
3. I typically make my own cards but have no problem buying homemade cards from others. I suppose the main reason why I might not purchase a card is because the price is too high.
Thank you!
1. i send anywhere from two to thirty cards very month, busiest months of course, before christmas. all my family is in europe. a lot of friends, too. all birthdays, anniversaries, achievements are celebrated with cards. besides, theres a "i miss you" cards. use those A LOT.
2. mail. definitely mail. i can't go to london, vilnius or berlin every time.
3. greeting cards are like shoes-you dont know what you are looking for untill you see it. and then it calls out to you. so no, there is no reason why i would not buy or use hand made cards if they "call out" to me.
1. 3-6
2. i usually mail... its fun to get something other than a bill in the mail!!
3. no
1) I send about 2-3
2) Depends on who they are going to. Sometimes I mail them others I hand them to someone
3) I typically make my own...but handmade is best!
