I haven't purchased a greeting card on Etsy yet (I make cards). I love looking at all the cards, and I usually search using "etsygreetings" and whatever holiday/occassion I'm looking for. I also like browsing using the new pounce feature and time machine 2.

I would search with the words etsygreetings because I would want to help my fellow members of the group. I also like the pounce feature .

I usually make my own greeting cards, but if I did need to purchase one, I would probably do a specific search.

I am in the process of purchasing a photo invite from an etsy member, and I found her designs by using the search feature.

B. The last greeting card I purchased on Etsy was found by doing a specific search:

When looking for cards on Etsy I search for them. So in order for me to find your cards, it's very important for both occasion and color to be tagged. Great pictures will of course make me take a peek once it's in the search results.

It is so nice sometimes to be able to take a break from creating and purchase a card instead. So my answer is a mix between answers a,b and g

I sometimes remember to browse new listings in the paper goods category but the last 2 times I purchased cards from someone on Etsy I found the shops through the "recently listed items" thing at the bottom of the front page.

If I need to find something specific I will just do a search or many searches and I can usually find whatever it is I think I need for a card.

In my pre-Etsy days, I really paid attention to the backs of the cards at my local shops. Then I would run home in hopes to remember the website I wanted to check out...and this is how how I discovered Etsy!!!!

I have not yet purchased, so this is the strategy I'd be most likely to use.

b. Specific search (for example, do a search for "Valentine's Day Card")

I have bought a lot of etsy greeting cards. I almost always (and this was the case for the last card I bought) first search under paper goods and then cards and look for cards that catch my eye. I usually have a chance to look through the card section every couple days. I know that I don't see all the cards but I do see a lot of them. When I do see a card that catches my eye or if an artist's style catches my eye then I mark the seller as a favorite. I usually look at my etsy favorites every couple days as well. I spend a lot of time browsing on etsy and it's great fun!

I love to browse the paper goods category on Etsy. That is how I have found cards that I have purchased. I also became friends with someone in the promotions forum (we promote some, but we mostly chat!) and have requested that she make a Mother's day card for my mom.

I normally do one of the following:
1) browse through the EtsyGreetings website
2) look through my favorite card sellers on Etsy
3) do a specific search.

I usually do a search using whatever event and etsygreetings (like "birthday card etsygreetings").

Sometimes I just happen to come across something while looking through the other EtsyGreetings shops.

I haven't bought a card on Etsy yet, but I would go with this strategy:
g. Local (for example, picked up a business card in a local shop)
Then would try:
b. Specific search (for example, do a search for "Valentine's Day Card")
Then if I didn't find something I liked, would go to:
a. Browse new listings in the paper goods category
